We got some good news today! Craig called and said that it is definitely Hodgkin's Lymphoma! Who would've thought that would be "good" news? Hodgkin's is more treatable than some other kinds of Lymphoma, so we are thankful for that.
I scheduled an appt. with a Lymphoma specialist at the Cleveland Clinic for next Wednesday afternoon. Pray for wisdom and prompt decisions. We really want to get treatment started!
She is really feeling yucky today. It is very hard not to be able to give her something to make it all better. Please pray that she can rest comfortably.

Hi Gerbers,
Never would we have believed that this is good news, but GOOD NEWS! Know that your family is in the prayers of our family. God is with his faithful-and that covers you more than we can even imagine. He knows the plans He has and though it is easy for others to say, stay faithful and lean on Him to provide. You will all remain in our family prayers as well as the prayers of the DES Prayer Group.
We thank God for this good news and for the blessings ahead. His plans will prosper you.

I am sure that any diagnosis of cancer is hard to accept, but our hope is that the fact that it is treatable will help lift your spirits just a little during this challenging time. We trust that you feel our prayers, and more importantly that you feel God's loving arms around all of you as you travel this path.
Blessings,
Neal, Steph, and Joy Clemens
So glad to find out it is Hodgkin's. There's lots of good medicine happening on that front. It's great that you guys are so close to Cleveland. We're praying for early staging.

I'm beginning to understand the concept of "pray without ceasing". I am thanking God right now for this diagnosis.
In the mid-70s I worked for someone who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's. He went through successful treatment - even working much of the time. He is still well today. 30 years!
God's promises hold more hope than stories of others' experiences, but I couldn't help myself. :-)
Love and prayers!

I'm beginning to understand the concept of "pray without ceasing"!
I know God's promises hold much more hope than stories of others' experiences, but I couldn't help but share... 30 years ago I worked for someone who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's and is well today.
Praise God for His goodness and mercy!

Hey Gerbers,
Just wanted to let you I have been thinking of all of you since the day I heard about it. Know that I am praying for you. I have found comfort in these words in times of trouble: "If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it" God will not give you more than you can handle without him. Lean on Him and He will help you through it.

Carli and family, we just want to let that you know you are in our prayers and those of our bible study group. We will continue to pray for healing and strength to face the unknown. Continue to rest in His loving arms. Tim and Michelle Gerber
