4/24/07 Everything went well in Clarion yesterday. Craig did the lymph node biopsy in her neck and an oncologist from Clarion did 2 bone marrow biopsies from her pelvis. Needless to say, she is quite sore and can't wait for the incision on her neck to heal.

Now we wait for results. The pathologist in Clarion said that it is definitely Lymphoma, now we wait for the typing and staging. She has rather large nodes in her chest, so please pray that these don't cause any problems before we start treatment.

We covet your prayers. We don't know how we would get through this without our family and friends. Special thanks, beyond words, to Jane and Craig.

Hi Gerber Fam.
I work with Beth so what I say here is based on knowing her and all of her goodness and grace. Using the adage "apples don't fall far from trees", I know that this is a family of great faith and strength. Your journey with God has never been challenged to the degree that it is today. Hang on to each other and those around you. With patience, soon you will know what this journey has in store for you. Your physical strength, courage, and love will surely support you well as you encounter the good and the bad on this faithful journey. Remember, you are not alone!!
Thinking of you clearly with love, heidi

Dear Gerber Crew,
We have so many friends and family praying and asking about you. We all want to continue to petition God on your behalf and at the same time we're all trying to remember that God loves Carli even more than her Ted, Beth, Tara and Kelsey do! Rely on your faith in Him, and on the many people with whom He has surrounded you. You are not alone, you don't have to be perfect and in spite of all this, you still have much to be thankful for... I know that I am thankful for you!

Love,
Shelly

Hi Carli,
I have been praying for you, and sent out many prayer requests for you. I know that Jesus heals. Here are some verses to take to heart:

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases." - Matthew 8:17

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. - 1 Peter 2:24

Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you. - Exodus 23:25

...receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. - 1 John 3:22

...for I am the Lord, who heals you. - Exodus 15:26

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." - Mark 10:27

God Bless!!!

We love you. Although this is a long journey, we have seen God's hand and His grace over the past week. Many people here are praying and asking how Carli is doing. It has been a life affirming and faith affirming week here in Clarion despite the difficult news. In a short time, Carli has touched lots of lives.....we are praying for the many people who will be coming into her life to bring her healing and comfort during this journey.
